Love and Money (film)

Love and Money, also known as Love amp Money, is a 1982 American drama film directed by James Toback and starring Ray Sharkey.

Frederic Stockheinz has a milliondollar offer to make. He asks Byron to go to the republic of Costa Salva to offer a business proposition to the dictator there, Lorenzo Prado, who just happens to be Byrons old college roommate. Matters become further complicated when Frederics wife and Byron begin an affair.Toback wrote the script for Warren Beatty and Pauline Kael came on board the project of the producer on the understanding Beatty would star. However Beatty dropped out, as did Kael, and Toback made the film with Ray Sharkey who he later called the wrong actor. ........
